  6. Wow, Judy, your colours are breathtaking. The retro look is perfect and so nostalgic for an oldie like me! I saw Joan Baez recently on TV and she is still beautiful and still thrilling her fans with her wonderful, clear voice. Alas, we can't say the same for Jimi.
Fantastic artwork. You are a Mangaroa Marvel.

  8. I had to come back to deny that I used my granddaughter in my postcard, especially as the quote says something about music being what our feelings sound like. Yes, my seven year old daughter does learn the violin. If the sounds she manages to get out of it are echoing our feelings we are in big trouble. Screech, awk, ouch, scream, etc. After almost a year, she can only play one note, D, tunefully. I recently went to a grandparents' day at her school and her class played a musical treat called One Note Symphony or somesuch which was made bearable by a great and snappy backing track and a chorus of tuneful D notes and some violin slapping with the bow on wood (in time with the music). Granddaughter (age 7) also learns ballet but, in spite of her tiny size, she manages to dance like a baby elephant. Somehow, I doubt if a career in music or dance is something she will succeed in but (and excuse the pun) she has a lot of other strings to her bow.
