The Three Muses - Tidings of Comfort and Joy

Marie's ideas on how we may approach this challenge mentioned "warm memories of simpler times, thoughts of home, remembering those no longer with us."   My entry takes me back to the many Christmas dinners at my Grandmother's home in England, here she is with my mother carving the turkey in the very tiny add-on kitchen of her '2 up - 2 down'  house in Lancashire.   Around the table, which would take up nearly all the living room, sat a dozen family members and now only my cousin (UK) and myself (NZ) remain, so especially at this time of the year they are always in my thoughts.

  2. Judy, first of all thankyou so much for sharing your superb art and your sense of humour with us this year. Secondly, may I wish you and yours a safe, peaceful and happy Christmas.
Your beautiful picture and your memories are touching to the point that they brought a tear or two to my eyes. Wouldn't it be a terrible thing not to have such tender and happy memories to fill in the gaps caused by those no longer with us?
