The Three Muses - Egg!


......... or 'Go to work IN an EGG!!'

Growing up in the '50's' in the UK 'Go to work on an egg' was a very popular TV ad. - in black & white, too!!!  Each egg was stamped with a little lion, this ceased in 1968 but according to Google the lion is back surrounded by the words, 'British Lion eggs.'    (For those who remember these ads. with Tony Hancock I'm sure he would have loved Steampunk!!'

    Brings back such memories Judy. Of course I remember 'Go to work on an egg'. And the lion mark. I often used to wonder whoever it was that sat all day stamping a little lion on each egg!

    Errrrrr, I don't think the Egg Promotions Bureau quite meant to LITERALLY go to work on an egg. Judy, this is brilliant. I have run out of superlatives. Wow!
