Take a Word - Sepia

This is a piece I made about a year ago, I thought today's challenge was the perfect opportunity to 'show it off!!'
Thanks to 'Playing with Brushes' Flickr for the frame, but sorry no record of the sources for the other elements.

  1. I have always loved this image, Judy. I believe the wife and children are those of the artist and my memory is vague on his name. Your setting is fabulous, as is the frame. Absolutely gorgeous piece! Love it.

  2. The first thing that catches my eye is the feeling of real dimension. The family group looks ready to walk out of the gorgeous, crusty frame. Beautiful artwork, Judy.

  10. I like this a lot Judy! Reminds me of the film with Nicole Kidman where she's living in what you think is a haunted house, and eventually you realise she's dead herself - sounds mad, doesn't it?

  12. Oh wow, Judy, where is she taking them? There's definitely a story waiting to be told here I think.

PS ... nope, didn't get the 27 inch (didn't want to appear ostentatious) no that's a lie, I couldn't afford it and it wouldn't fit on my desk :D but the 21.5 inch Snow Leopard is super duper and I can always update to Lion later. Buuuuuuuuy one noooooooow!
