Take a Word - Nature

I struggled with this theme, had something all planned, played around with it far too long then 'binned' it!  Looking through my iPhoto folder 'My Garden's Visitors' I came across these 'birds on a wire' - welcome swallows. So here is my final entry with help from Ramilep & Pink Poppy Photography (Stockyard Pool flickr) for the textures, blended in PSE6.
Thanks also to these birds for fertilizing the lawn below, but no thanks for leaving their 'visiting cards' on my windows!!

  1. This is wonderful,Judy...love the textural background you have created. Like all birds they leave their markings, but they sure sing nicer than most. Great artwork.

  3. I think there's a song called "Bird on a wire" so this superb piece would have qualified for last week's 3M song lyric challenge!! I love this piece, Judy. The textures and colours are amazing. Absolutely fabulous!!

  12. I've no idea what your first idea was, Judy, but this piece (birds on a wire) is beautiful and I love the colours and the lovely scratchy textures you've incorporated too. Much kudos my friend.

  14. Beautiful color-hued grunge, Judy! I know what you mean about the "calling cards". I live in the traffic pattern of some Canadian geese and it's amazing their "cards" can fly sideways and hit my windows as they fly over!! Side benefit of Mother Nature, I guess! Anyway, I love your birds on a wire with their rosy breasts!
