The Three Muses - Butterflies!
I photographed the 'butterfly bowl' which was featured in a sculpture exhibition I attended. It has been wood-turned from a large branch of a NZ native tree. The decoration has been done with a dental drill to pierce and texture the surface to reveal the butterfly images.

The butterfly bowl photo of yours is exquisite, and your extraction is top notch. I like how you added the extra butterflies, as if they were escaping from the bowl design. Very well done.
ReplyDeleteI admire the techniques you've used Judy. Especially how you created the shadow. And it seems if these butterflies are accessories which belong to the bowl but I can tell YOU created them !!!
ReplyDeleteIt's indeed very fascinating what you have done with this theme !!
A fantastic job !!
Wonderful treatment - I love the way that the butterflies are leaving the bowl. Simply gorgeous.
