Take A Word - Mail

Please enlarge to see more detail!
On Wednesday November 28 (Hevensday Blotmath 28!) the world premiere of 'The Hobbit - An Unexpected Journey' movie took place in New Zealand's capital city, Wellington, which was renamed the 'Middle of Middle Earth' for the day.  I went into the city earlier that day but did not stay to join the hundred thousand 'fans' from all over the world that lined the 500 metre red carpet leading to the movie theatre, but I did take a few photos of signs, statues and murals relating to the movie.
The Air New Zealand plane adorned with decals of characters & scenery from the movie brought actors from around the world to the premiere except for Sir Ian McKellen - Gandalf, who was unable to attend.
The scene (mural) shows 'Middle of Middle Earth's' iconic buildings amongst one of the South Island's movie locations (own photo).
Postmark - 'brush' from own photo.   Stamps - Google
Map - houseworx@deviantart.
Textures - Pixeldust and SHC.

  7. Yes, brilliant is the word. This is superb in every way, Judy. Who woulda thunk that you Kiwis would take over the Hobbits franchise? (I think Peter Jackson probably grew up in Australia, reversing the trend set by Russell Crowe and his ilk).

  16. This is fabulous mail art. I know my daughter will be at a showing soon. I remember giving the book to her when she was in high school. I'd bet that she still has it now some 40 years later.
