Take a Word - Butterflies
An excerpt from the Katherine Mansfield poem, 'Butterfly Laughter.' The 'Woman of Words' sculpture is from one of my own photos, it commemorates the life and work of New Zealand's most internationally recognised literary figures.
The stainless steel sculpture is laser cut with quotations from KM's work, at night it is illuminated from within where it becomes a lantern of silhouetted words.
(I have reversed the image, just in case anyone is trying to read the words, sorry!)
super, super, herzlich Pippa
