'He knew he looked a 'proper Charlie' but he still enjoyed being in the spotlight!'
The words 'proper Charlie' came to mind, so I couldn't resist making Mr Chaplin look like one!
Hat, hair, jacket & spotlight from PSE6, the background is my own photo of part of the capital here in NZ altered with 'glowing edges' in PSE6.

Charlie's images & movie poster were found on Google and the spotlight & film/reel layer belong to PSE6.
Amazing Chaplin art, Judy. Please check out a little something for you on my wordpress blog.

Oh wowee Judy I love both of these and would find it hard to choose between. I have to tell you I am blown away though by your layering and blending and colouring. Kudos to you.
ReplyDeleteWhat an original idea, Judy! Your 'Proper Charlie' collage is wonderful, a great interpretation of the theme.
ReplyDeleteBRAVOOO Judy !!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fantastic sceney !
You created a marvelous background using the N.Z. capital and that glowing effect.
That you also used a personal photo gives it for me just that little EXTRA !!
These are both exceptional, Judy. I love that spotlight, and the effect of the glowing edges. It's such fun to see what everyone is doing with Charlie!
ReplyDeletePeople say Bev and I are like Tweedledum and Tweedledee and we are often mistaken for each other on the blogs. Now I have to add Judy to the mix!! We chose the same image and the same movie!!
ReplyDeleteWho cares? Not me. I love your two gorgeous Charlie pictures, Judy. I couldn't choose between them because they are so stunning - but different. Fantastic artwork.
Judy, both of these are awesome! The outfit in the first one is hilarious! Awesome work! Hugs, Terri
ReplyDeleteGreat work Judy- captures the fun spirit of Chaplin!
ReplyDeleteI like both..the first one he's so cute as a clown! I love him walking thru the city..he was very cheerful guy in heart.
ReplyDeleteThis is a funny and beautiful entry.
ReplyDeleteJudy, I understand completely. The process of looking up all the links and the writing, etc. does take a lot of time. While I enjoy writing up the notices about each talented artist, I do feel guilty that I am loading them up with work.
ReplyDeleteHi Judy,
ReplyDeleteI was sure I left you a message last night but I was having trouble with some of the links so let me try again-- Great job on both of your Charlies! I'm looking forward to next week's challenge and I'll be looking for you there. Maybe you'll give us two interpretations again?
Have a good week!
