Having spent yesterday looking after my five year old grandson who never stops talking and who is always grubby, the quote really speaks to me! Judy, I love the richness and colour and textures of your piece. It is truly frameworthy. Wouldn't it make a great gift for someone with a young son? Thankfully, the sea breezes arrived yesterday after two weeks of gale force hot land winds and the fires are under control. 70 plus homes lost. Perth's metropolitan area is huge. Fortunately I live on the coast, quite a distance from the eastern suburbs, many of which are in hilly, forested areas. People lead semi-rural lives in these areas and enjoy the ambience but with it comes the constant threat of wildfires. It is romantic to have a home among the treetops but it is also dangerous, especially as most of our natives trees are from the eucalypt family and they burn like the dickens. I feel desperately sorry for all the homeless people who now have to try to pick up their lives again - most of them left with absolutely nothing. The speed of the fires (because of the high winds) left no time for grabbing treasures.
Very dramatic! Love the textures. It reminds me of a quote I heard: "Of all the animals, a boy is the most difficult to tame." As the mother of five boys I can attest to the truth of both quotes!
Judy, this is absolutely stupendous. I've always loved the quote, but you've captured it perfectly in your art. Great work, my friend! Thanks for sharing your talent.
a very beautiful card to illustrate your quote Judy I love it

This is so wonderful, Judy. I love the textured-look of it, the composition, and the image itself is awesome.
